TRADISI DAN UPACARA ADAT ISLAM DI NUSANTARA - shine.net

1. Tahlilan

Tahlilan adalah upacara kenduri atau selamatan untuk berdo’a kepada Alloh dengan membaca surat Yasin dan beberapa surat dan ayat pilihan lainnya, diikuti kalimat-kalimat tahlil (laailaaha illallah), tahmid (Alhamdulillah) dan tasbih (subhanallah). Biasanya diselenggarakan sebagai ucapan syukur kepada Alloh SWT (tasyakuran) dan mendo’akan seseorang yang telah meninggal dunia pada hari ke 3, 7, 40, 100, 1.000 dan khaul (tahunan). Tradisi ini berasal dari kebiasaan orang-orang Hindu dan Budha yaitu Kenduri, selamatan dan sesaji. Dalam agam Islam tradisi ini tidak dapat dibenarkan karena mengandung unsure kemusyrikan. Dalam tahlilan sesaji digantikan dengan berkat atau lauk-pauk yang bisa dibawa pulang oleh peserta. Ulama yang mengubah tradisi ini adalah Sunan Kalijaga dengan maksud agar orang yang baru masuk Islam tidak terkejut karena harus meninggalkan tradisi mereka, sehingga mereka kembali ke agamanya.

2. Sekaten

Sekaten adalah upacara untuk memperingati Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW di lingkungan Keraton Yogyakarta atau Maulud. Selain untuk Maulud, Sekaten diselenggarakan pada bulan Besar (Dzulhijjah). Pada perayaan ini gamelan Sekati diarak dari Keraton ke halaman mesjid Agung Yogya dan dibunyikan siang-malam sejak seminggu sebelum 12 Rabiul Awal. Tradisi ini dipelopori oleh Sunan Bonang. Syair lagu berisi pesan tauhid dan setiap bait lagu diselingi pengucapan dua kalimat syahadat atau syahadatain, kemudian menjadi Sekaten.

3. Gerebeg Maulud

Acara ini merupakan puncak peringatan maulud. Pada malam tanggal 11 Rabiul Awal ini, dengan Sri Sultan beserta pembesar Keraton Yogya hadir di mesjid Agung. Dilanjutkandengan pembacaan-pembacaan riwayat Nabi dengan ceramah agama.

4. Takbiran

Takbiran dilakukan dengan malam 1 Syawal (Idul Fitri) dengan mengucapkan takbir bersama-sama di masjid/mushalla ataupun berkeliling kampong (takbir keliling).

5. Muludan

Peringatan hari kelahiran Nabi Muhammad SAW dilakukan dengan mengadakan Muludan. Peringatan ini dipelopori oleh Sultan Muhammad Al Fatihuntuk membangkitkan semangat pasukan Muslim pada perang salib. Peringatan Maulid Nabi sebenarnya tidak diperintahkan oleh Nabi melainkan budaya agama semata. Di Indonesia peringatan ini dilaksanakan oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat, dari Presiden sampai rakyat biasa. Kegiatan ini diisi dengan pembacaan riwayat nabi (Barzanji) maupun kegiatan lainnya seperti perlombaa-perlombaan yang bersifat Islami.

6. Tabut/Tabuit

Dilaksanakan pada hari asyura (10 Muharram) untuk memperingati pembantaian Hasan dan Husain bin Ali bin Abi Thalib (cucu Rosulullah) oleh pasukan Yazid bin Muawiyah di Karbela. Dilakukan dengan mengarak usungan berwarna-warni (tabut) di pinggir pantai kemudian dibuang ke laut lepas. Pengarakan biasanya dilaksanakan setelah terlaksananya acara lainnya dengan menghidangkan beraneka macam hidangan makanan. Upacara ini dilaksanakan secara turun temurun di daerah Pariaman (Sumatera Barat) dan Bengkulu.

7. Adat Basandi Syara’, Sara’ Basandi Kitabulloh

Masyarakat Minangkabau dikenal kuat dalam menjalankan agama Islam, sehingga adat mereka dipautkan dengan sendi Islam yaitu Al-Qur’an (Kitabullah). Adat Minagkabau kental dengan nuansa Islam sehingga melahirkan semboyan adat basabdi syara, syara basandi kitabullah (Adat bersendikan syara dan syara bersendikan Kitab Alloh).

8. Seni Tradisi Genjring

Seni tradisi ini banyak ditemukan di daerah Purwokerto, dan Banyumas pada umumnya. Di kalangan masyarakat Banyumas, kesenian tradisi ini lebih banyak yang berbasis di masjid. Pada masa lalu, kesenian ini cukup efektif untuk melakukan pembinaan generasi muda, karena hampir setiap malam anak-anak muda bertemu di masjid. Untuk mengisi waktu senggang, mereka memainkan genjring bersama-sama di masjid. Namun saat ini kesenian ini sedikit demi sedikit mulai ditinggalkan kaum muda, sehingga jumlahnya didominasi kaum tua (50 tahunan).

Dalam seni tradisi islam ini, syiiran shalawat dilantunkan secara rampak dengan diiringi tabuhan rebana, tanpa tarian. Oleh masyarakat lokal, tabuhan rebana ini disebut genjring. Hal ini mungkin dimaksudkan untuk mendekati bunyi rebana yang mirip bunyi “jring”, orang bilang “genringan”. Seperti halnya kesenian Islam lain, kesenian ini menggunakan dasar dari kitab Al-Berjanji. Dimana sebuah kitab yang berisi tentang puji-pujian kepada Nabi Muhammad.

Kesenian ini di masyarakat Banyumas seringkali digunakan untuk mengarak sunatan. Dalam prosesi ini, gengring dilakukan sambil jalan beberapa ratus meter menyambut datangnya pengantin sunatan yang datang dari tempat disunat tersebut. Si anak dinaikkan becak yang telah dihias, yang kemudian dibelakangnya diikuti para pemain genjring. Menurut keterangan masyarakat Purwokerto dan Banyumas hal ini dimaksudkan selain untuk menambah kemeriahan pesta, mengurangi rasa sakit pada si anak (karena perhatian tertuju pada keramaian), juga dimaksudkan adanya hikmah dari pembacaan sholawat tersebut.

Kesenian ini biasanya dimainkan oleh antara 12 sampai 30 orang. Penabuh terbang bisa bergantian dan nyanyian dilakukan secara serempak dengan menggunakan bahasa arab.

9. Kesenian Singkiran

Kesenian ini sangat jarang ditemui karena semakin punah, seiring kemajuan jaman, meninggalnya para pelakunya, dan sengaja di counter kelompok tertentu (islam modern) karena dianggap ada penyimpangan dari Islam. Kesenian Singiran merupakan salah satu bagian integral dari ekspresi seni tradisi ummat Islam. Kesenian ini berkembang seiring dengan tradisi memperingati seribu hari kematian (3 hari, 7 hari, 40 hari, 100 hari dan 1000 hari) salah satu warga. Jika

dilihat dari isinya, seni tradisi ini berisikan nasehat-nasehat bagi si mayat dan nasehat kebajikan bagi anak cucu yang masih hidup untuk selalu mendoakan orang tua mereka.

Kelompok kesenian ini salah satunya ditemukan di daerah Tamantirto, Kasihan, Bantul, DIY. Kelompok ini menamakan keseniannya sebagai “ Singir Ndjaratan” yang artinya “tembang kematian”. Selain menarasikan nasehat-nasehat kebajikan, kesenian ini juga dimaksudkan sebagai upaya untuk mendoakan para leluhur melalui pembacaan kalimat tahlil yang mengiringi pembacaan narasi syiiran. Kesenian ini semakin hari digerus oleh perspektif Islam

modernis dan banyak tergantikan dengan tahlil dan yasinan. Kesenian ini tidak menggunakan alat musik, namun diiringi tahlil bersama sepanjang pembacaan singir-singirnya. Sedangkan irama atau langgam singir digunakan langgam-langgam macapat. Secara garis besar kesenian ini diawali dengan pembacaan tahlil, kemudian bacaan singir secara bergantian, dan kemudian pembacaan sholawat (srokal) serta diakhiri dengan doa.

10. Kasidah

Kasidah (qasidah, qasida; bahasa Arab: “قصيدة”, bahasa Persia: قصیده atau چكامه dibaca: chakameh) adalah bentuk syair epik kesusastraan Arab yang dinyanyikan. Penyanyi menyanyikan lirik berisi puji-pujian (dakwah keagamaan dan satire) untuk kaum muslim.

Lagu kasidah modern liriknya juga dibuat dalam bahasa Indonesia selain Arab. Grup kasidah modern membawa seorang penyanyi bintang yang dibantu paduan suara wanita. Alat musik yang dimainkan adalah rebana dan mandolin, disertai alat-alat modern, misalnya: biola, gitar listrik, keyboardflute. Perintis kasidah modern adalah grup Nasida Ria dari Semarang yang semuanya perempuan. Lagu yang top yakni Perdamaian dari Nasida Ria. Di tahun 1970-an, Bimbo, Koes Plus dan AKA mengedarkan album kasidah modern.

11. Sholawat Jawi

Kesenian Shalawat Jawi di temukan di daerah Pleret, Bantul, dan beberapa juga sudah menyebar di sekitar kecamatan Pleret, atau bahkan di sekitar Kabupaten Bantul. Kesenian ini merupakan salah satu bentuk penegasan jawanisasi kesenian Islam. Kesenian yang berkembang seiring dengan tradisi peringtaan Maulid Nabi ini mengartikulasikan syair atau syiiran shalawat kepada Nabi Muhammad dengan medium bahasa Jawa, bahkan juga dengan melodi-melodi Jawa (langgam sinom, dandang-gula, pangkur dan lain-lain).

Adalah Kyai Soleh yang menciptakan tembang-tembang shalawat berbahasa Jawa yang sampai saat ini tulisannya menjadi pedoman para pelaku seni sholawat jawi, meskipun beliau sudah lama meninggal. Kyai Soleh merupakan seorang tokoh lokal Islam yang sekaligus seniman yang memegang teguh prinsip-prinsip ber-Islam. Kesenian ini merupakan ekspresi keberagamaan sekaligus ekspresi kesenian bagi pelakunya. Mereka mendapatkan manfaat keberagamaan yang mententramkan hati (sebagai kubutuhan spiritualitas) sekaligus kebutuhan akan keindahan (seni) juga terpenuhi. Kesenian tradisi islam ini di dominasi oleh para oang tua ( rata-rata di atas 50 tahun) dan regenerasi sepertinya tidak. Kalangan mudah lebih senang kesenian yang lebih modern (model dan alatnya). Jadi tidak heran kesenian ini mulai jarang ditemui, karena kelompok-kelompok kesenian ini semakin sedikit.

Selain tradisi tersebut masih banyak tradisi lain yang berkembang di daerah atau suku-suku lainnya. Hal ini menunjukkan perbedaan sikap masing-masing daerah pada saat menerima Islam. Tradisi-tradisi tersebut menambah kekayaan tradisi Islam Indonesia.
